If you've ever taken the time to meander around Lismore, you'll quickly discover the multitude of murals, installations and community art projects that colour the laneways and back alleys of this vibrant town.

It's no surprise really, with the area renowned as a hub for artists and innovators across many creative disciplines. As a university town that also houses organisations such as NORPA (Northern Rivers Performing Arts), the Lismore Regional Gallery and Arts Northern Rivers, there is always plenty of creativity on display throughout the region.
The Lismore Laneways project proudly showcases many different disciplines, from street art to sculptures designed and created by local artists. As part of this project, there are a number of old phone booths dotted throughout the laneways that have been converted and repurposed with the community in mind.

As a local business and custom signage company, Armsign was a natural choice to facilitate the design and fitout of some of these Booths with custom audio products.
The listening booth allows visitors to step inside and discover stories about the rich history of Lismore and it's people. Designed with longevity in mind, the custom audio unit allows for content to be easily updated, so throughout the year different stories can be heard, in order to reflect the vast characters of the region.
