By participating in an ARTSHED project, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

About ARTSHED
ARTSHED is a creative initiative delivered by Armsign, bringing together artists, designers, makers, and communities to develop public artworks, interpretive elements, and creative installations.

Participation

Participation may include submitting ideas, artwork, designs, or taking part in workshops, fabrication, or installation activities.

Participation is subject to selection and project requirements.

Taking part does not guarantee inclusion in the final project outcome.

Ownership and Use of Work

You retain ownership of your original work.

By participating, you grant Armsign permission to use, reproduce, adapt, and display your contribution as part of the ARTSHED project.
-
This may include public display, documentation, promotion, exhibitions, websites, social media, and award submissions.

Contributors will be credited where practical.

Collaboration and Changes

Contributions may be adapted or integrated with other works to suit the site, safety, technical, or project requirements.

Armsign will make reasonable efforts to respect the original intent of contributions.

Fees and Payment
-
Any payment or fees will be clearly communicated before participation begins.

Some ARTSHED opportunities may be unpaid or voluntary and will be identified upfront.

No additional payments will be made unless agreed in writing.

Safety and Conduct

All participants must follow safety instructions and site requirements.

Respectful behaviour is expected at all times.

Armsign reserves the right to exclude participants who do not comply with safety or conduct requirements.

Photography and Media
-
ARTSHED activities may be photographed or filmed.

By participating, you consent to the use of images or footage featuring you or your work for documentation and promotional purposes.

Responsibility for Submitted Content

You confirm that all submitted work is your own or that you have permission to use it.

Armsign is not responsible for disputes relating to copyright or ownership of submitted content.

Project Changes or Cancellation
-
ARTSHED projects may be changed, delayed, or cancelled due to circumstances beyond Armsign’s control.

Armsign is not responsible for costs incurred by participants due to project changes or cancellation.
​
Liability
-
Participation is at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by law, Armsign is not responsible for injury, loss, or damage suffered during participation, except where required by law.

Privacy
-
Personal information is used only for project administration and communication.
-
Information will not be shared without consent.

Acceptance
By participating in an ARTSHED project, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Artwork Supply Guidelines
Submitting your artwork:
For the purposes of submissions, a low resolution file is suitable. Please do not upload files larger than 10mb. If this is not possible, use the dropbox link via the online submission form.
DIGITAL MEDIUMS
Artworks created / edited using software

File format (for submission):
PDF, JPG or PNG (CMYK or RGB colour space)
Aspect ratio:
7:3 ratio (Fig. 1)
Setup:
Final printed size of artwork will measure 560cm x 240cm, so it is recommended that artwork using software be setup at 50% scale. (eg, artboard 280x120cm).
If successful, a high resolution file will be required for printing.

NON-DIGITAL MEDIUMS
Paintings, sketches, drawings, etc
​
A photograph or scan of the work is required for submission. Please ensure the entire work is captured with ample resolution.
If photographing your work - it is critical that lighting is even, framing is clearly visible and image is front on. Please read this guide for best practices photographing your work.
If successful, you may be required to re-photograph the work for purposes of large scale print reproduction. In this event, it will be up to you to bring artwork to Armsign premises or have it photographed at your expense.
